Congratulations Sarah Keenleyside for being named House & Home’s prestigious A-List Designer / TV Personality.  Sarah is an extremely talented interior designer who has been doing private client work for over a decade at her own firm. She has also been on HGTV for 5 years, co-hosting Backyard Builds (3 seasons with the 4th airing Spring 2021) with Brian McCourt. In addition, she is part of the Home To Win ensemble cast (3 seasons) as well as the hit new show Family Home Overhaul. We had used Sarah Richardson for an event to give our Executives tips on how to design their home offices.  The information and tips she provided gave our guests amazing ideas to design their new home office space.  Sarah was personable and answered all of the guests questions.  Our guests were extremely pleased and had a blast with their time with Sarah.  Post event, the guests were still asking for color palettes and art suggestions because Sarah left them wanting even more.

Kortney Wilson’s contest with The Brick

My client HGTV designer Kortney Wilson (Making it Home, Family Home Overhaul) was a natural choice for The Brick, Canada’s largest furniture retailer as their Style Ambassador! The clever and fun holiday campaign includes a national contest, social media campaign, “Kortney’s in the House” videos on The Brick’s website and YouTube Channel highlighting product and providing great tips/ideas for consumers. Kortney has made it easy to choose the right products for every room in every “personal” style” as there are multiple videos on https://lnkd.in/gSZ2ED7 being added through Jan.’21. Consumers can also enter a CONTEST with the winner receiving $10,000 in Brick home furnishings and a virtual design consultation with Kortney to be scheduled in 2021. Sarah Richardson featured in Hello Magazine (Oct/20)

Internationally acclaimed designer Sarah Richardson and her family are featured in Hello Magazine (week of Oct. 19 ’20). The setting is their beautiful “Starlight Farm” home which she and her husband Alexander Younger designed and built for her HGTV series “Sarah Off the Grid”. Sarah has much to celebrate and be thankful for this year. Her Sarah Richardson For Palliser furniture line has launched and her 4^th book Collected: Past and Present (volume 2 in the Collected series – Simon & Schuster) is available online and in book stores as of Oct. 20^th. Sarah’s passion is to provide fresh content and inspiration through her books, TV shows and Design Life episodes on her YouTube Channel. If you need the super-strength soother, though, it is Sarah Richardson’s YouTube channel. Richardson is a Canadian HGTV host, and I’m sure her actual TV shows are fine and dandy, but the YouTube channel has all of the substance of fun home design and real estate shows with none of the tedious repetition that’s designed for commercial breaks, where half of the show is spent recapping itself. Blegh.

Instead, the videos have zero dumb filler, and I’m obsessed with them. I have watched every single video on this channel. There is ample practical advice but also ample lifestyle fantasy material — I mean, how should one design the guest bathroom in their ski chalet? I don’t even have a mudroom, but now I have a lot of information and ideas about how mudrooms ought to look and function, and should the opportunity ever present itself, I am extremely ready to design the mudroom of my dreams. My favorites are the episodes about the lake house on a private island in Lake Erie, which is off the grid but also has the biggest sectional couch humanity has ever created. Mostly, though, I like how grounded and straightforward the videos are, and at a moment when competence seems to be in short supply, watching successful collaborative problem solving feels like visiting a peaceful distant planet.
